We expected the casino to have at least a few of the old fashioned one-arm bandits.the sound of coins is what we used to come to vegas for. Nothing about the hotel or casino reminded one of a bygone era.except the smoke stack outside. The bathroom was tiny and lights didn't work properly. ![]() The room itself was plain jane.not particularly clean we asked for non smoking, but the walls were thin and the people next door were tobacco adicts and the smoke came right in. We parked in a parking deck, hiked back to the hotel, and later discovered ample parking right outside our room. ![]() and didn't offer the usual diagram with our room marked. When we asked about parking, we were told "anywhere you want".and she didn't seem to really know where our rooms were. The front desk staff didn't seem to really know what they were doing, and offered no helpful info. When we finally found a place to park and register, it was slow and tedious. The roads were all under construction and we had to detour for miles to reach the hotel. This casino is in a more industrial area and once you get there, you are pretty much forced to stay. It cost twice as much as a hotel on the strip, but sounded like a good experience. The website shouted the 1940's flavor "go back in time" and gave the impression the casino and hotel were reminiscent of a bygone time. We chose this hotel at the end of our National Parks tour because it is near the airport. ![]()
